A service was held at the Memorial to the Missing 1939-1945 in Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey in particular commemoration of Major John Sehmer of SOE who was involved before his capture and subsequent torture and murder at Mauthausen concentration camp. The Sehmer family were in attendance and they and the Slovak military representatives (led by Defence Attaché Colonel Peter Sliacky), also featured in the following ceremony, the annual commemoration of Czechoslovak casualties, organised in the cemetery by our partner organisation the Memorial Association for Free Czechoslovak Veterans (MAFCSV).

A video recording of both ceremonies can be seen here with thanks to our volunteer, Alan Meeks.
