A busy day for SECRET WW2 – beginning with a drive out to Essex at the invitation of Kris Havard who runs the STS 43 association. STS 43 is a focal point of Polish wartime remembrance as it is best known as SOE’s training school for Polish agents – the Chichociemni (the Silent Unseen). The occasion included a tour (undertaken by Magda Thomas, Friend of SECRET WW2 who also attended) around the grounds to view reminders of wartime use.
Attendees included many intelligence representatives from the different NATO countries and from the current Polish Army special forces. This was an excellent occasion, well supported by the Polish community in the UK.
